NUMA 2020.

The Northern Uganda Music Awards or NUMA in short organizes the award ceremony in Gulu town on 1st of January every year to award Northern Uganda musicians for the outstanding performance in the previous year.

This year’s ceremony was organized at Pece Stadium in Gulu municipality and artists were awarded in the following categories:- overall artist of the year, female artist of the year, runner up female artist of the year, male artist of the year, lakubukubu artist of the year, gospel artist of the year, new artist of the year, duo artists of the year, hip-hop artist of the year, legendary artist of the year, collabo of the year, comeback artist of the year and many more. The winners are; 

Eezzy Di Lyrikaal.

Eezzy took the most awards home in the Northern Uganda Music awards. He walked away with accolades for overall artist of the year, male artist of the year, hip-hop artist of the year, dancehall artist of the year and most consistent artist of the year.

Quincy.

The only diva signed under Pine Avenue 5 record label walked away with two awards as the female Artiste of the Year and new artist of the year.

Liama.

It would be a total shock if Liama had gone back with no award at all. She maintained the award winning tendency by taking on the category of the runner up female artist of the year.

Odong Romeo.

To be honest, Romeo was supposed to grab most of the awards this year. He worked so hard in the year 2019 and created the most viral luo music in the history of Northern Industry ‘yoo leng’. Romeo was awarded in two categories as the best gospel artist of the year and Lakubukubu Artist of the year.

Other Winners are; 

Sammy Cast- Duo Artists of the year.

Bosmic Otim- Legendary Artiste of the year.

Eddy Wizzy and Laxzy- Collabo of the year – Action.

Lil Roy- Come Back Artiste of the year.

Beepee- RnB artist of the year and Lango Regional artiste of the year.

Rafiki Boys- Aguma group of the year.

Ojur Kwon- Stand Up Comedian of the year.

Lady Zulu- Breakthrough Artiste of the year.

DJ Joel- DJ of the year.

MC Fabulous- MC of the year.

Badman Koda- Producer of the year.

Special Recognition awarded to other players in the northern Music Industry including promoters and mangers. The awards were received by;

Victor Jay – Best music promoter and mentor of the year. 

Bosmic Otim- Special recognition was given to Bosmic’s song Anyira ker.

Tito Okello- Acholi Team captain was recognized for being a hard working captain and bringing the FUFA Drum trophy home.

Pine Avenue 5- Best record label.

Tempra Omona- Special Thanks.
